stirrings from the shadows

It's clearly been a long and strange time for us all... but there are signs of the first creative types crawling slowly from the shadows, blinking into the daylight!  We have still kept busy ... re-scheduling shows and working on a few surprises.... next year looks busy as anything already... none of us know how things will turn out for the venues and events, with the distancing rules and we may yet get some new restrictions if things start to slide.   However... we've come a long way together and we're certain that will at some point soon be able to meet up and talk about all this as being 'in the past' - until then stay safe and keep on supporting the incredible venues and brave promoters who are working so hard to keep the  original rock music scene alive - The Sons

Sons of Liberty at Cambridge Rock Festival 2021

East of England Showground, Peterborough PE2 6HE

Tickets from 2020 event are valid - Cambridge Rock Festival is run by volunteer music fans for music fans, with a great friendly, non-corporate vibe! This year marks the event’s 16th festival, with around 65 classic rock, prog and blues acts appearing over the four days of June 17th-20th on three stages on its new site in Cambridgeshire at the East Of England Showground, Peterborough , just a few minutes off of the A1(M). It has always looked at things from the perspective of the audience, so for example both band and audience are housed under cover, this year the option of tiered seating has been added, you can park by your tent if you camp, there’s no extra charge to park, etc. The event has also supported many local breweries by running its own real-ale and farmhouse cider bar, with typically around 80 choices available each year, plus a new specialist gin, Pimms & prosecco bar. This year’s festival includes Focus, Cats In Space, Pendragon, Electric Strawbs, Dare, Tygers Of Pan Tang, Atomic Rooster, Hazel O’Connor, Magenta, Chris Bevington Organisation, Bad Touch, T Clemente Band (from the USA), Ken Pustelnik’s Groundhogs and many others – see the website for the latest line-up information. Although its primary focus is original bands, each year a small number of tribute acts are included that would otherwise not be possible and to tempt local people to the site to discover all the other great music on offer that they might otherwise never find!
